Barbecue

Is there anything better than the smell of food being cooked outside? Our barbecues for hire are great for big and small events alike.

If you’re cooking outside, chances are you are going to be using a barbecue. Barbecues are tremendously versatile pieces of kit and can be used for all kinds of food. We have a wide selection of barbecue hire available from huge LPG affairs for the largest events to charcoal barbecues for a cook out in the back yard.

What barbecue hire is available in Bristol and the South West of England?

We have two standard types of barbecues for hire which suit different needs. The Cinders Commercial Gas Barbecue is an industry standard and is great for large events and commercial use. The people who rent barbecues like this generally are looking to serve 100-200 guests, which the Cinders will accomodate. With two separate cooking areas it's possible to do meat and vegetarian on the same barbecue making it easier to serve range of food. We hire barbecues like Cinders out to venues throughout Bristol, Bath, Somerset, Dorset, Wiltshire and Devon and popularity can be huge in summer, which means stock can get limited.

The 18kw Commercial griddle is a smaller barbecue which is popular with both commercial and private hirers. This barbecue has a flat cooking area which gives great contact to meats and vegetables, and we find people rent barbecues like this one for pop-up events where food can be kept warm on one side.

We also hire BBQ pizza ovens for people looking for something different.

Do you need to order gas?

All of our LPG equipment is supplied without gas bottles. Please order separately if you need them

  • 13kg LPG Bottles are suitable for patio heaters
  • 19kg LPG Bottles are suitable for all other LPG equipment we stock
  • 30mm wrench required to attach bottles to equipment - can also be hired separately
  • If unsure about connecting bottles to equipment utilise a Gas Safe Engineer

What do I need to know about barbecue hire?

If you’re hiring out an LPG barbecue from us, you do so safe in the knowledge that all of our LPG equipment is cleaned, checked and tested prior to dispatch. All of our gas barbecues for hire are regularly serviced and tested by a Gas Safe engineer, with certification available on request once stock is allocated to an order.

All of our LPG barbecues come with a regulator and hose and attach to a standard 19kg or 47kg gas bottle by a standard bayonet fitting. We regret that our drivers cannot attach or set up LPG equipment; if you do not feel safe doing so we recommend utilising the services of a Gas Safe engineer. Spanners can be hired from us separately if you need one, as can gas bottles.

Do I need to clean barbecue hire before it is collected?

Are you worried about cleaning your catering equipment hire after your occasion or event? If time is a factor or you know you’ve got too much else to worry about while packing up, then our "send it back dirty" service is what you need.

We know that catering equipment can be hard to clean after a hire period of full usage – especially things like ovens and barbecues. Rather than breaking out the scourer, for 25% of the hire price you can leave it all to us. Just wipe off any food debris or liquid and we'll do the rest once it has been returned. To take advantage of this service simply select in the checkout.

How does delivery of barbecue hire work?

It’s easier than ever to find out the delivery and collection costs to and from your venue for event hire. Tap the Expo Hire Bristol & Avon logo from any page on the website to be taken to the homepage where you will find our carriage calculator button. Enter your postcode into the clever widget and not only will it tell you what the carriage cost is to that venue but also which of our websites is closest so that you don’t pay any more than you should.

You’ll also find a list of all our possible extra surcharges on that page. If applicable, these are confirmed in the checkout once you have confirmed your delivery address along with dates of delivery and collection. They’re itemised in full before you make payment so that there are no nasty surprises, and you know exactly what you are paying for.
